Greenland Youth Expeditions
Over the past 30 years the Ammassalik and Kulusuk area of east Greenland
has been the destination for many forward-thinking schools and youth
organisations from the UK.
Now with the support of several UK manufacturers a kayak base has been
established on the east coast of Greenland - this is able to outfit small
groups of youngsters who are on dedicated schools' expeditions or organised
trips during gap years.
A guiding service using qualified and localy experienced BCU coaches is available
to support the groups' own leaders and instructors.
Other logistical support and back up can also be organised along with boat
shuttles and drop-offs.
In the past, school expeditions have successfully worked in 3 groups
rotating through a 7-day Kayaking, Hill Walking and Field Study programme -
providing an incredible life changing experience for everyone involved.
